50 Easy-to-Make Content Ideas for Bloggers

50 Easy to Make Content Ideas for Bloggers | City Living Network | Lindsay DeLong

City Living Network has been making the rounds these days and attracting attention from all over the world — Sydney Australia! Hamilton Canada! Rhône France! (Yay, yay, and YAY!), so naturally, to keep the buzz buzzin’, I’ve created a lead magnet for CLN’s new subscribers and figured I’d send it here as well, to my current subscribers! Hello, g’day, and bonjour!

I’ve gathered 50 of my go-to blog article topics that are * EASY TO MAKE * that will drive traffic to your site for years to come.

For each CLN site I create I have the Editor choose 5 categories that we will create articles around. For this list of my 50 faves I divided them into:

EAT | PLAY | SHOP | PEOPLE | STAY

These articles can be as simple as asking a business owner to name the seven things they are vibing on most, or teaming up with the local high school’s journalism department to highlight a “Senior of the Month.”

They can also be deep dives where you interview a local founder on how and why they started their company, or an exposé on a popular business that’s opening or closing in town.

Many of the ideas on this list can be made into listicles that will do well from an SEO perspective. For example: Best Happy Hours in [Your Town] and Best Brunch Spots in [Your Town] are most likely highly Google-able phrases that people are searching for.

These articles can be updated with new information and will be seen for years to come. (Laguna Beach Living still has articles from 5 years ago that are ranking on the first page of Google!) Once your articles are created they will live for eternity on the Internet and will continuously drive traffic to your site.

SO BASICALLY… SOMETHING THAT WILL TAKE AN HOUR OF YOUR TIME ONCE, WILL CONTINUE TO WORK FOR YOU IN PERPETUITY. (AKA: $$$)

Merci!
