Batching Content and Getting In the Zone

Batching Content | Work from Home Tips for Entrepreneurs | City Living Network

One of the strategies I’ve found that works for me as a solo-preneur is BATCHING.

Your brain works better when you’re not jumping from task to task, but rather — when you’re in THE ZONE.

Here’s an example of a typical “work week”:

MONDAY: ADMIN ZONE

Respond to emails, event invites, and catch up with Laguna Beach Living’s annual advertisers.

TUESDAY: SOCIAL CONTENT ZONE

Dive into Canva and my camera roll to create Reels, graphics, and social posts.

WEDNESDAY: ARTICLE ZONE

Create articles, newsletters, and any long-form content.

THURSDAY: FUN ZONE

Co-work at a local coffee shop, walk around Laguna, take videos, meet people for lunch, etc.

FRIDAY: SALES ZONE

Take LBL ad calls, City Living Network Discovery Calls, and cold and warm outreach to Laguna businesses via email.

Each week can look different, days can be swapped — some can be short, some can be long. Some days (like yesterday) you may even want to throw a facial into the mix — but the beauty of owning your own business is…

NO ONE is telling you what to do, except YOU.
